Harmonious and proportionate buttocks

Harmonious and proportionate buttocks

Gluteoplasty is the procedure that enhances and reshapes the buttocks using dedicated implants or autologous fat transfer (lipofilling). It is indicated for:

  • Hypotrophic or poorly defined buttocks
  • Volumetric asymmetries between both sides
  • Desire for a more feminine and proportionate silhouette
  • Loss of volume after significant weight loss

The choice between implants and lipofilling depends on the patient’s anatomy, the amount of available fat, and the desired outcome. Both techniques guarantee natural and long-lasting results.

The journey

Stages of the treatment

Gluteal shape and volume, tissue quality, available fat volume for lipofilling, and overall body proportions are evaluated.

Pre-operative examinations: blood chemistry tests, ECG, anesthesiology consultation.

  • Duration: 2 – 3 hours
  • Anesthesia: general
  • Hospital stay: 1 night

In the implant technique, the prosthesis is positioned through an incision in the intergluteal crease. In lipofilling, fat is harvested via liposuction and reinjected into the buttocks after purification.

During the first few days, it is necessary to avoid sitting directly on the buttocks and to sleep prone. A compression garment is worn for 3-4 weeks.

  • Resumption of light activities: 14–21 days
  • Full recovery: 6 weeks
  • Sports activities: after 6–8 weeks

frequently asked questions

FAQ

Are implants or lipofilling better?

It depends on the patient’s anatomy: lipofilling offers natural results while contouring donor areas, whereas implants are indicated when significant volume is desired or available fat is insufficient.

Are implants safe?

Yes, they are certified medical devices specifically designed for the buttocks, with high safety standards.

Does the reinjected fat last over time?

A portion (30–40%) is reabsorbed during the first few months; the remainder is stable and long-lasting.

When can I return to sitting normally?

After about 3 weeks, gradually.

Are the scars visible?

The incision is placed in the intergluteal crease and is barely visible; with lipofilling, scars are only a few millimeters long.

Is the procedure painful?

Pain is moderate and well controlled with prescribed therapy.
